1969 Chevrolet Camaro 427 Yenko
The Yenko Super Camaro was a modified Chevrolet Camaro prepared by Yenko Chevrolet, Canonsburg, PA., under the command of Don Yenko from 1967 through 1969 and we, Musclevehicles.com present it to you. Don, a renowned racer and the owner of Yenko Chevrolet, decided the new for ’67 Camaro needed a bit more oomph. This was because a General Motors corporate edict prevented it from carrying an engine larger than 400 CID V8; this put the Camaro at a serious disadvantage to the Ford Mustang, Plymouth Barracuda and the Dodge Dart since they had no such a limit.
Don Yenko, however, knew there was a market for an ultra-powerful Camaro and found ways around the GM limit. To accomplish this task he transplanted the L-72 427 big block engine form the Corvette into the Camaro, thus the Yenko SC or Super Camaro was born! Seeing how successful Don’s creation was, other dealers across the Country also did similar swaps, but the Yenko is widely considered the most collectible of the bunch. Click on Read more!

It was more than fitting that the new 2014 Chevrolet SS got its first major outing at Daytona recently. The production model of the company’s latest muscle car may only have been on the infield this time but the first real-wheel drive performance sedan to be released by the company since 1996 is as exciting for some people as the high-octane racing on the oval, where the Nascar Sprint Cup version was making its debut.
This particular 1979 Trans Am Anniversary Edition represents a rare matching-numbers treasured classic with it’s significant historical value as (believed to be) being one of only 60 Anniversary Trans Am’s involved in the “Dealer drive away program” through Nascar that year and as you can see, Musclevehicles.com strives to provide you with unique and interesting muscle cars.
This rare Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 is a result from very productive co-work. For years Pennzoil and Penske Racing have collaborated on track-proven technology that aids performance and improves efficiency. So, Pennzoil thought it would be a cool idea to create a custom, Penske-themed street car. And Penske, dominating NASCAR with Dodge’s top models, figured the brand’s all-American Challenger would be a perfect starting point. Hands were shook, papers were signed and, before we knew it, Dodge had shipped Penske a copy of its latest and greatest Challenger: the mighty SRT8 392. Fans of each brand were then encouraged to spread the word and, even if they didn’t want to buy any of the companies’ products, enter the contest. And finally, the car you see here, Pennzoil Challenger number 001 of 001, was given to one lucky contestant. If you’re a Mopar collector who wants the ultimate late model Challenger, make no mistake, this car is the ultimate trump card!
