AMG team reveals a stunning 1,020hp S-Class machine

S-class remains one of world’s most prominent and luxurious vehicles to date. And the cool part is that there are still numerous tuning studios that continue to use the luxurious model as a base for their engineering projects. The most well-known of which is still AMG team – the studio that exclusively upgrades only Mercedes-Benz machines.

And here we are, reviewing brand’s latest tuning project that involves a sexy AMG S 63 convertible with stunning power output of 1,020 horsepower. In close collaboration with POSAIDON team, the vehicle received comprehensive engine upgrade that includes boosting its volume to the titanic 6.2cm3. Furthermore, there are numerous reinforcements and additions that altogether ensure that the whole drivetrain system stays tight when the power is boasting.

Other in-house upgrades include extension of the charge air cooling and intake air kit, new sports air filter, special radiator package and expanded insulation that keep temperatures in the green range. POSAIDON team has also strengthened the whole gearbox system and has included reinforced differential locks. Neat!

The result is pretty much stunning: the massive 1,020hp and 750Nm of torque, finely distributed with AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed sports transmission allow the vehicle to sprint from 0 to 100km/h in mere 2,9 seconds and chase a top speed of 350km/h. Incredible!
