We’ve featured some pretty amazing pro-touring early Camaros lately here at Muscle Cars Blog, but when you start giving cars names, you know they’re getting serious. Built by the artists at GelPro Rod & Muscle, his 1969 Camaro is known as “The Punisher” and given the performance credentials and stunning execution, it’s entirely appropriate (yes, comic book fans, we know The Punisher drove a GTO, not a Camaro, so save your E-mails; it’s just a name). Pro-touring is all about integrating modern performance equipment with vintage sheetmetal, and this pro-built car delivers on every level-it has already been voted the runner-up in the 2009 GoodGuys Muscle Car of the Year competition. While most F-body enthusiasts have a particular year they favor, you would be hard-pressed to find one that doesn’t like the 1969 design. While the basic side profile remained the same from 1968, all sheet metal (with the exception of the hood and decklid) was reworked for a lower, wider and generally more aggressive look. When straightening out the body work on this Camaro, perfection was clearly the goal. Every corner is sharp, every line is crisp and panel fitment is far superior to assembly line work. Covering that laser straight body is an attractive shade of yellow that does a great job of accenting the cars line while turning of plenty of heads in the process. The Corvette ZR1 is one of those pieces of US metal that make many, many, European go-fast rides want to cry and go hide in a shed. Thus, ZR1 owners are extremely proud of their rides and want to offer their car tributes, as a sign of gratitude for all the performance.
This is exactly the case here, with a yellow example of the ZR1, which was gifted with a set of custom shoes. The 640 hp ‘Vette was touched by Advance One Wheels, which fitted it with a set of ADV07TS rims.
