The Auto Collections, Las Vegas

Posted on 18 September, 2015

The love for the bright lights of Las Vegas has hardly waned over the years. Last year Sin City welcomed 39.67 million tourists to the region and it remains the gaming and entertainment capital of the world regardless of competition from the likes of Macau.

As you walk down the Vegas strip the array of hotel, casinos and bars is unrivaled anywhere in the world. Hence, why so many decide to return to the city year-on-year for a weekend of high stakes gambling, conventions, music shows and car shows among other things.

However, the beauty of Vegas is in the way it has evolved over the years. Undoubtedly technology has caused the casinos and caused them to rethink their business models, for the better, hence why we now see an eclectic offering of entertainment. Because online gaming portals have successfully tapped into pop culture offering games with Marvel-themes, Vegas casinos have had to change their business models to incorporate many different trending topics because their online competitors now command a huge market share in the gaming industry.

Luckily for car fans, car shows that incorporate classic cars, muscle cars, racing cars and even automobiles that have been showcased in famous films now heavily feature in Vegas. Probably one of the best shows in the whole of Vegas is The Auto Collections at The LINQ Hotel & Casino.

The collection of cars has been described as a visual “history on wheels,” and regularly appears on many Vegas to-do-lists. Featuring exotic cars from around the world, it also has an abundance of “historically significant cars, as well as some special interest cars.” The collection is worth a staggering $100 million and can be viewed Monday-Friday between the hours of 10am-5pm.

You can visit Yelp where they have an extensive 149 photos on the show and have given the collection a 4-star rating. From reading the many reviews on Yelp, one of the most redeeming features of the collection seems to be that all the cars are for sale, so if you want to return later in the year, the chances are the majority of the cars will have been rotated. Thus, there will be a whole new bunch of cars to feast your eyes on.
