Jaguar I-PACE has received MotorWeek’s 2019 Driver’s Choice Award in the Best Luxury Utility category and overall Best of the Year.
Since 1983 MotorWeek Driver’s Choice Award honors the best models by a variety of categories – family sedans, luxury sports cars, utility pickups and others. Winners are chosen based on their driving performance, technology, practicality, fuel efficiency and value for the money.
Now, let’s get back to the Jaguar, shall we? I-PACE midsize performance SUV is the first battery electric machine to be offered by the brand. It comes with bold design language and large list of advanced technologies and goodies.
I-PACE underlines Jaguar’s dedication towards technological advancement and is the first model in the lineup to incorporate Jaguar’s InControl Touch Pro Duo infotainment system. This gadget uses an innovative combination of touchscreens, capacitive sensors and tactile physical controls to operate key functions.
This human-machine interface (HMI) design comes with two touchscreens on the central console, designed to reduce driver distraction, while separate interactive controls aid driver and passengers in every single situation and provide this essential connection between the vehicle and driver.
Furthermore, I-PACE features a 90kWh battery, which ensures an EPA-estimated range of up to 234 miles and 0-100km/h (60mph) acceleration in mere 4.5 seconds. Machine’s top speed is measured at 223km/h. (124mph).
2019 Jaguar I-PACE is already on sale with a starting price of $69, 500USD. First customer deliveries are starting this month.
