Posted on 17 September, 2018

Hyundai Motor presented a first look at a rendered image of a new truck that will be powered with fuel cell powertrain. Expected to be launched in 2019 the vehicle will feature a ix35 Fuel Cell system and NEXO, Hyundai’s own electric system feature.

As we can see from the image, the electric truck boasts sexy and distinctive design that stands out from conventional Huyndai trucks. Something more, the truck looks super aerodynamic and shaped in such a way that we tend to think about speed and even sporty features. The front grille features a glowing Hyundai logo that represents hydrogen – the rest of the grille is covered in geometric shapes that give the idea of sportiness and futuristic technologies.

As you might know, there’s a special IAA Commercial Vehicles event that would take place in Hanover Germany and there Hyundai team will announce more details about the truck, along with future plans for introducing it in Europe. In fact, Hyundai Motor also completed South Korea’s domestic highway challenge with an autonomous semi-trailer truck and drove about 40km between Uiwang and Incheon, carrying large semi-trailer simulating cargo transportation, reviewing Hyundai’s capabilities and overall technological advancement. Neat!
