Sanderson-Barris Kustom Dodge Challenger - Muscle Cars BlogIn June, 2008, Steve Sanderson of Sanderson’s Customs & Conversions signed a deal with George Barris, the King of Kustomizing, known for the most recognized car in the world, the Batmobile, to produce limited edition Kustomized Dodge Challengers. Sanderson purchased two muscle cars – Chalengers in 2008 as George Barris worked on the design of the cars. The second muscle car in the series of Challengers is the Vanishing Point, which is named after the 1970’s movie “The Vanishing Point” that introduced the Challenger to audiences. This car was wrapped from bumper to bumper with custom fabricated Carbon Fiber stripe kit which includes an integrated hood scoop. George Barris worked with Sherwin Williams Planet Color paint products to have a triple color paint scheme with hand painted stripe to bring the colors together. Other cosmetic additions include custom wheels from ICE, 20″ wheels in the front and 22″ wheels in the rear. Custom interior with suede inserts with George Barris’s signature engraved in the seats, headlight covers, molded in rear spoiler, Pistol-grip gear shift an sunroof. The Vanishing Point has yellow window tint, billet aluminum pieces in the interior and engine compartment. The engine is the well know 6,1L V8 and it has a custom painted intake.
