In a fast gallop – Ford Mustang from Design-World Marko Mennekes
Ford Mustang appeared in 1964 and became the ancestor of the Pony-Car-Class (Pony-Car-Klasse). Until now, the varieties of such bodies as Coupe, Fastback and Cabriolet is still a sensation due to their appearance.
Design-World Company in Sundern which incidentally is responsible for modeling station of CarFilmComponents (CFC-Styling Station) for more than six years, gave the originally equipped, a free-living prairie 412 hp engine an additional power impetus. Now the engine has 435 hp with a 5-liter capacity. V8 with 6 speed manual transmission of 2011 model year is fully equipped, including Shaker 1000 CD/MP3 sound system. The above mentioned increase in the capacity is achieved by open air filter with air box (Airbox), as well as software optimization.
At the same time, the car speed has been limited, but not as in previous versions. This condition is mandatory for such a wild horse. Read more and check out the gallery!
DEARBORN, Mich., Aug. 25, 2011 – Ken Block is known as a trendsetter, certainly when it comes to his on-the-edge driving. Be it in the World Rally Championship or in his recently released Gymkhana FOUR video on YouTube, he is ahead of the curve. Now, Block and the Monster World Rally Team are on the leading edge of technology as their multidiscipline rally H.F.H.V. (Hybrid Function Hoon Vehicle) Ford Fiesta is equipped with Ford SYNC®.
Block’s Fiesta is the first competition-ready car armed with Ford SYNC, which allows him to enjoy a wide array of award-winning in-car connectivity and communications features including hands-free, voice-activated calling and turn-by-turn directions as well as the ability to play his favorite music via Pandora.
“I love my new Ford Fiesta H.F.H.V. race car because it’s one of the most unique competition race cars on the planet and is capable of doing many different styles of driving. One unique feature of this car is that it still has SYNC hooked up inside. So whenever I’m transitioning between rally stages or just driving around town, I’m able to make phone calls, have my texts read to me, look up businesses and listen to my favorite driving songs – it’s awesome!”
Ford SYNC will not replace Block’s longtime co-driver Alex Gelsomino, as use of the turn-by-turn direction capability is not legal for rally competition. However, it can help Block find the Parc Expose or the MWRT paddock service area in his street-legal Fiesta. Read more and watch the video of Gymkhana FOUR!

Galpin Auto Sports (GAS) today announced it has been selected by manufacturing leader and Fortune 500 company, SPX Corporation (NYSE: SPW), to create a special one-of-a-kind high-performance Ford Mustang that will be auctioned to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® at the Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction in Scottsdale, Ariz. in January 2012.
Prior to traveling to Scottsdale, this unique and highly collectible example of GAS’ craftsmanship will debut to the public at the Barrett-Jackson auction in Las Vegas, where it will be on display September 22-24, 2011. The car will make a number of appearances at car shows and events across the country, including SEMA 2011, leading up to its auction in Scottsdale this January.

We found this perfect 1966 Stang for $69,900 on eBay and here’s the description of the listing:
Talk about a wolf in sheep’s clothing! On the outside, this amazing 1966 Mustang convertible looks like a clean, black ragtop with a high-quality restoration, but when you start to look a little closer you notice things like the 4-wheel disc brakes, the 17-inch Torque Thrusts, and the slightly raked ride height. Under the skin, it’s a take-no-prisoners hammer designed to pound anything with less than 500 horsepower into dust, thanks to a 600 horsepower aluminum stroker motor, a Richmond 5-speed, and a heavily fortified suspension. Best of all, it isn’t some Shelby clone with oversized fender flares that will attract all kinds of unwanted attention. No, like all the best sleepers, this one keeps a low profile until it’s time to crack the throttle. By then, you’d better be holding on tight, because all hell’s gonna break loose. From 2010 Formula Drift Champion, Vaughn Gittin Jr.: “Earlier this year, I had the pleasure to visit Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a guest of Ford Middle East to perform in a demo as part of the Action Ha race weekend at of Al Reem Circuit. I didn’t know exactly what to expect heading to the Middle East, but I’m always down for new experiences and adventures. Once I arrived I was completely blown away by the love of motorsports, and even more specifically, the love for drifting by the locals. Everyone I met, from Princes, to other professional drivers, to swarms of fans, treated me with amazing hospitality and kindness. It was an incredible experience that I will never forget and I look forward to coming back to the K.S.A!
