Revenge, which is based in US introduced to the world its Verde Supercar at the 2010 Detroit Auto Show.

Revenge claims that the Verde shares a good portion of its aluminum chassis with the dearly departed Ford GT. Powertrain options are the Roush-sourced Ford Racing V8 producing 605 hp and the supercharged GM LS9 with 638 hp. The Hp2g Hybrid drivetrain option with the V8 engine puts out 400 horsepower while running on E85 and returning upwards of 100 miles per gallon.

What’s more, the bodywork is fashioned from aluminum and carbon fiber, which allows for a weight of 3,500 pounds. Performance estimates put the 0 – 60 time at between 3 and 5 seconds, depending on the chosen engine. Top speed will be over 200 miles per hour, with optional gearing that could potentially allow the Verde to hit 240 mph. Pricing is set at $190,000 and Revenge says it’s planning to put cars in paying customer’s hands later this year. We are waiting for it.

General Motors released photos of the forthcoming Cadillac CTS-V Coupe, a supercharged version of the luxury coupe introduced a few weeks ago at the Los Angeles auto show.

The announcement may not be the greatest of timing. Oil rose to above $81 on Monday. And in India, Toyota and Honda unveiled subcompact concepts at the New Dehli auto expo. The release of a new gas-swilling muscle sedan will not warm the hearts of Americans.

If there’s one automaker that’s gone nuts for gadgets, it’s Ford. The company that brought us the world’s best in-car infotainment system with Sync is now the first car company to offer iTunes song tagging.

The system makes it a snap to keep up with new music by allowing you to tag a song you hear on the radio and then download the song or album from the iTunes store. The feature will be available in 2010 models with the optional HD radio.

Ford’s packing its cars with gadgets. It recently announced it was adding Internet access to Sync, and its 911 assist system is going head-to-head with General Motors’ OnStar. It’s also working with students to bring cloud computing to Sync, and it made the Fiesta the focus of an aggressive social media marketing campaign.
