Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR goes to 2011 SEMA Show
One of the sweetest pieces of motorized candy that will be served at this year’s edition of SEMA will be the Dodge Challenger SRT8 ACR, a vehicle that will follow the recipe of the Nurburgring record-setting Viper SRT10 ACR.
The vehicle’s long list of performance mods starts with a Mopar coil-over suspension, a short-throw shifter, front and rear strut tower braces, lightweight alloy rims with Goodyear F1 Supercar tires, carbon fiber hood and boot lid, as well as certain engine goodies, such as a cat back exhaust. Speed and Agility of 2011 Dodge Challenger SRT8 392 to be Showcased During Upcoming One Lap of America
It seems that Chrysler’s upcoming 6.4-liter V-8 gasoline engine will only be available for the SRT vehicles and not Ram Heavy Duty pickup trucks. Joe Veltri, Chrysler vice president of product planning, said “it’s designed for performance, not low-end torque. It’s designed for off-the-line 0-to-60 times.”
