The new 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 is an awesome muscle car.
With a supercharged V-8 engine and 662 horsepower, this little beast can surpass 200 miles per hour – this fact alone would be enough to make many men consider buying the car, but when you consider the low price of £35,000, it is clear that this car is simply a steal!
The featured 1967 Ford Mustang Custom Fastback is the Eleanor’s worst Nitemare. Truly one-of-a-kind, this 1967 Ford Mustang Pro Touring Fastback has been hand-built from the ground up and is a multi-award winner! What’s more, this muscle car is AUTOGRAPHED by CARROLL SHELBY himself on the dash!! What a masterpiece! As far as we know, this muscle car has been officially named “NITEMARE” because it is just that intense!
This build was a joint effort between two top restoration shops: CUSTOM CLASSIC RESTORATIONS in Illinois, and BILLUPS AUTO BODY in Oklahoma. Both known for building ONLY THE BEST! This being the case, the latest Ford Shelby GT500 has been King of the Road ever since it was unveiled as a 2013 model. With 82 more horsepower (rated) and a couple hundred pounds less weight to move, the ‘Stang out to outrun the range-topping 2012 Camaro ZL1 in straight-line performance testing.

The 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 has made a big splash at Ford Canada dealerships. It is also one of the hottest selling muscle cars throughout North America. A big reason for that is power. Car lovers can’t get enough of it, and Ford has really delivered by upping the performance output of the 2013 model to an intoxicating 662 horsepower. Shelby fans were already quite satisfied with last year’s 550-hp engine.
1967 Shelby GT 350 with Factory Paxton Supercharger – a truly awesome muscle car ! Shelby built 35 1967 Shelby GT 350′s with Paxton Superchargers. Only 19 of these cars are still known to exist. Only 5 Red Supercharged cars were built and only 4 of those are known to still exist. The engine is a date correct 289 High Performance engine with all of the correct parts and all are date correct for the car including Harmonic Balancer, S7 intake maniford, S7 High-po exhaust manifolds, distributor, engine cover, heads, original valve covers, etc.
The four speed toploader transmission is coded with the correct RUG-1 and the rear end is date correct. The former owner stated that the Paxton Supercharger is original to the car and is dated February 10, 1967. This car was built by Ford on May 4, 1967 and Shelby completed it on May 19, 1967. The amount of original parts is incredible with the motor mounts, rear 2 1/2″ brake drums, and even the fuel sending unit being original Ford. The motor mounts are dated C7ZZ and the fuel sending unit has a C7 part number.

2012 marks the 50th Anniversary of the iconic Shelby Cobra. The most recent celebration happened this past weekend at the Wally Parks NHRA Motorsports Museum in Pomona, California. Many, many Shelby Cobra owners gathered for a 50th anniversary reunion put on by the Team Shelby Pacific Coast Division. All kinds of Cobras were gathered in front of the museum, from 289-powered slab-sided Cobras to original 427 side-oiler models to the modern continuation Cobras. Drew Phillips was at the event which drew plenty of locals and took pictures of these awesome cars.

NEW YORK – March 27, 2012 – Shelby American, Inc., a division of Carroll Shelby International (CSBI.PK), will introduce its most powerful Shelby yet on April 5, 2012, at the New York International Auto Show. Carroll Shelby and his team created the Shelby 1000 by starting with a 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 and kicking its handling, horsepower and braking to the performance edge.
The Shelby 1000 will be offered in both a street and a Shelby 1000 S/C “off-road” track version. The street legal, pump gas version dyno’s out at approximately 950 HP, while the track oriented S/C edition is rated at over 1,100 HP.
“Carroll Shelby is a visionary who has pushed the boundaries of performance his entire life,” said John Luft, president of Shelby American. “He challenged the Shelby American team to develop the Shelby 1000 and wanted to unveil this amazing new Shelby at the New York Auto Show celebrating 50 years since he unveiled the very first Shelby Cobra that changed the face of high performance. We will have that very car, Cobra #1 (CSX2000) along with Shelby 1000 on display in our Shelby American booth in New York.”
