We’ve featured some pretty amazing pro-touring early Camaros lately here at Muscle Cars Blog, but when you start giving cars names, you know they’re getting serious. Built by the artists at GelPro Rod & Muscle, his 1969 Camaro is known as “The Punisher” and given the performance credentials and stunning execution, it’s entirely appropriate (yes, comic book fans, we know The Punisher drove a GTO, not a Camaro, so save your E-mails; it’s just a name). Pro-touring is all about integrating modern performance equipment with vintage sheetmetal, and this pro-built car delivers on every level-it has already been voted the runner-up in the 2009 GoodGuys Muscle Car of the Year competition. Power comes from a modified LS2 V8, the suspension is heavily upgraded, and it spins a modern 5-speed transmission, not to mention all the creature comforts that are part of the deal. There are many things to consider when maintaining your car, and sometimes it’s easy to overlook one of the most fundamental components – the tyres on the wheels that allow it to move.

Tyre Safety Month took place in October 2011 in the UK, and featured a number of special events and promotions designed to get drivers thinking about the condition their tyres are in and how to improve them.

Throughout October, motoring organisations highlighted the benefits of keeping tyres pumped up to the recommended level, not least of which is significantly improved fuel consumption – helping motorists to save money on fuel which can go towards other essentials such as car insurance renewal.

In 1964 Ford let the first Mustang come into the world. The model took its place quickly as an alternative to already legendary Thunderbird and became an ancestor to a new generation of the Pony-Car Class. Through different intermediate states and countless niche models and at last we came up to the Mustang V, a model created in 2004.

In this article we will speak about this kind of V8-daredevil with 4.6 L engine capacity and 309 kW. In order to significantly improve the Optics of the advanced Retro-Design vehicle that belonged to the popular movie stars for a long time, we installed the Cervini-Bodykit for 8,000 Euro. We also installed a specially featured exhaust system which included side pipes at both ends to ensure the smooth operation of the hard bar. Moreover, this tomboy is equipped with KW-coilovers with electrically lifting axles and HLS (Hydraulic Lift System) Kit, which solved such well-known problems caused by its smaller ground clearance as emissions on the roadway, problem garage entry and covered parking entry and also problems with so-called speed-blocker. Building cool cars for charity is nothing new, but this 2011 Mustang has a better pedigree than most of those auction flyers that make a big splash and then vanish forever. Built with input from skateboarder Tony Hawk and assembled by the guys at Galpin Auto Sports (you know, the same guys who build the hardware on the hit TV show “Pimp My Ride”), this is no paint and sticker upgrade, but a comprehensive redesign of the 2011 Mustang that addresses everything from horsepower to interior accommodations.

The 2011 Mustang is new in a lot of ways, but the styling was left alone after the 2010 update, so that’s where Tony and Galpin Auto Sports started. A 0-mile Mustang GT was secured and shipped directly to Galpin’s shop, where the transformation took place. The first change was the addition of a Street Scene body kit, which includes a custom front fascia, rocker skirts, upper and lower side scoops, a new rear valence, as well as a trick wing that is surprisingly low profile in today’s tuner world. Brilliant silver paint covers every inch of the bodywork, and has been polished and buffed well beyond factory specification. Black graphics were added, a design that echoes the past greats like the Boss 302, but with a modern twist. The hood was also blacked-out and creates a stripe that extends to the rear deck lid and even between the tail lights, and a custom Tony Hawk logo was emblazoned on its surface, reminiscent of a 21st century Firebird. Gothic-looking Tony Hawk initials adorn the front fenders and Tony’s signature has been added to the rear bumper. Nobody is going to mistake this for a garden-variety Mustang. Read more!
