2012 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 on ADV.1 Wheels - Muscle Cars BlogThe Corvette ZR1 is one of those pieces of US metal that make many, many, European go-fast rides want to cry and go hide in a shed. Thus, ZR1 owners are extremely proud of their rides and want to offer their car tributes, as a sign of gratitude for all the performance.

This is exactly the case here, with a yellow example of the ZR1, which was gifted with a set of custom shoes. The 640 hp ‘Vette was touched by Advance One Wheels, which fitted it with a set of ADV07TS rims.

The wheels use a black finish for the center and a brushed aluminum finish for the lips, with the contrast between the two acting like an attention magnet. The rims, which come in a 20-inch size, are wrapped in Invo Nitto rubber. Click on read more for more images!

Take a look at the 26″ wheels – 26X9.5 Celebrity Edition 3 piece custom painted wheels with Toyo Proxes4 275/30ZR24 rears and 255/30ZR24 front tires. Suspension is replaced with Eibach lowering springs 1″ front 1.2″ rear. The other improvements are mainly aesthetic:

A Look at the 2013 Ford Shelby GT500

The 2013 Ford Shelby GT500 has made a big splash at Ford Canada dealerships. It is also one of the hottest selling muscle cars throughout North America. A big reason for that is power. Car lovers can’t get enough of it, and Ford has really delivered by upping the performance output of the 2013 model to an intoxicating 662 horsepower. Shelby fans were already quite satisfied with last year’s 550-hp engine.

1967 Shelby GT 350 Factory Paxton Supercharged - Muscle Cars Blog1967 Shelby GT 350 with Factory Paxton Supercharger – a truly awesome muscle car ! Shelby built 35 1967 Shelby GT 350′s with Paxton Superchargers. Only 19 of these cars are still known to exist. Only 5 Red Supercharged cars were built and only 4 of those are known to still exist. The engine is a date correct 289 High Performance engine with all of the correct parts and all are date correct for the car including Harmonic Balancer, S7 intake maniford, S7 High-po exhaust manifolds, distributor, engine cover, heads, original valve covers, etc. 

The four speed toploader transmission is coded with the correct RUG-1 and the rear end is date correct. The former owner stated that the Paxton Supercharger is original to the car and is dated February 10, 1967. This car was built by Ford on May 4, 1967 and Shelby completed it on May 19, 1967. The amount of original parts is incredible with the motor mounts, rear 2 1/2″ brake drums, and even the fuel sending unit being original Ford. The motor mounts are dated C7ZZ and the fuel sending unit has a C7 part number.

2012 Camaro SS O CT-Tuning - Yellow Steam Hammer - Muscle Cars BlogThe German tuner O.CT-Tuning supercharged the 2012 Chevrolet Camaro SS and offered it in the Yellow Steam Hammer designation.

This 2012 Camaro SS (the European market version), with the 6.2-liter V8 ditched the natural aspiration in favor of a supercharger kit that boosts power to 630 hp and torque to 538 lb-ft (730 Nm). There are many other mods for sure such as stainless steel exhaust system , which also offers the powerplant a deep growl.

2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will be the pace car of the 96th Indianapolis 500 - Muscle Cars BlogINDIANAPOLIS – A 2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will lead the starting field of the 96th Indianapolis 500 to the green flag Sunday, May 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With 638 horsepower, the Corvette ZR1 is the most powerful production car ever to pace the race.

This will be the 23rd time a Chevrolet has paced “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing” and the 11th time a Corvette is serving as the Pace Car. Both are event records. The 2013 model year will mark the 60th anniversary and the final year of production for the current generation Corvette.

“Corvette embodies pure performance, so the ZR1 is a perfect car to pace the most prestigious auto race in the world,” said Jeff Belskus, Indianapolis Motor Speedway Corporation president and chief executive officer. “Chevrolet is a great partner of the Speedway, and we share in the excitement of the upcoming 60th anniversary of the iconic Corvette brand. It’s even more meaningful to see a Chevrolet pacing the field at Indy since Chevy has returned as an engine supplier for the IZOD IndyCar Series for the first time since 2005.”
