This is another incredible car, auctioned on eBay for US $59,900.00. The mythical Mustang wagon—it has persisted since the earliest days of the Mustang, and even Ford had proposals on the drawing board. However, it appears that the first Mustang wagons were not built by Ford at all, but rather by Intermeccanica at the behest of the W.J. Thompson advertising agency. Constructed in 1965, the car may or may not still exist, but photos and magazine articles from the period still exist, and have inspired a few talented craftsmen to try their hands at creating their own Mustang wagons. This particular 1965 Mustang wagon was built by Joe Ramp and uses as many factory components as possible to create one of the most unique and eye-catching Mustangs you’ll ever see. An iconic Mustang is back in victory lane delivering a race win to the “Blue Oval.” Multimatic Motorsports’ championship driver duo of Scott Maxwell and Joe Foster claimed the first competition victory for the Boss 302R in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge in GRAND-AM at Barber Motorsports Park in Alabama.

“This is a pretty special victory,” said Scott Maxwell, who was involved in the testing and development of the Boss 302R. “We have come close a few times before so maybe we were overdue, but it hasn’t really sunk in yet. Certainly there is a special legacy in racing the Boss 302R and the amazing job that Parnelli Jones did winning the championship in the Boss. It has been an honor to run the same paint scheme as Parnelli and this is an amazing win.” Read more!

BOURBON, Mo. – March 15, 2011– Gateway Classic Mustang, the premier manufacturer of high performance vintage Mustangs, announced the start of production for its Limited Edition 1968 Steve McQueenTM Signature Mustang. Gateway Classic Mustang teamed up with the Steve McQueen estate to design and build the car in honor of the legendary Hollywood actor and racing enthusiast.

“This Mustang build combines the classic body styles of the late ’60s Fords with contemporary performance technology to deliver a fantastic driving experience,” said Jason Childress, co-owner of Gateway Classic Mustang. “Each of these limited edition Steve McQueen cars are hand-built by our team at Gateway Classic Mustang. With production scheduled for second quarter of 2011, the engineers at Ford Racing were recently testing the new BOSS 302S at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
