Just because we are muscle cars fanatics doesn’t mean we don’t like anything on four wheels. This is the proof – check out this FANTASTIC mountain run! And no drift car makes as much smoke as Kenneth Moen’s turbocharged Toyota Supra. Go, Fast Kenny!
Vaughn Gittin Jr took out his 1969 RTR-X Mustang for a spin. And it was more like a hot run. We remind you that RTR has teamed up with Need for Speed to build the 1969 Mustang RTR-X. The RTR-X is a one-off project with that will debut at SEMA 2010.The final product will be a unique classic street\drift machine that will be street-driven and flogged on the track. The RTR-X will be featured in upcoming Need for Speed video games for the world to enjoy driving, as well as star in multiple film projects in 2011.
Drifting a high horsepower 3,000 pound sports car…easy. Try it in a 10,000 pound purpose built Semi Truck….not so easy. Racer / Stunt Man Mike Ryan has driven this truck to 12 Pikes Peak Hill Climb Championships and decided it’s time to show his skills and the capabilities of his race truck on the original Gymkhana location at El Toro Marine Base in CA ala Ken Block. This film was directed by Greg Tracy and BANDITO BROTHERS PRODUCTIONS (banditobrothers.com) to celebrate the launch of his amazing website My life at Speed. Enjoy the video on Read more!!
Like the production 2011 Mustang, Vaughn’s new ride features several new upgrades. The chassis and suspension have been updated using the knowledge gained from the 2009 season, and the looks have been tweaked to match Gitton’s ponycar for the street, the RTR-C Mustang. Falken Tire remains as a sponsor and has provided their brand new RT-615K tires to be sacrificed on track, and a version of Ford Racing’s 4.6-liter supercharged V8 is still under the hood. Check out the muscle car gallery after the jump.
