The Ram Truck brand announced today that it will add two new Ram 1500 buzz models in Sport trim — the Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport and the Ram 1500 Black Sport.
“With a standard HEMI® V-8, the Sport model offers unique features for the customer who likes aggressive styling and great performance but still needs a truck,” said Bob Hegbloom – President and CEO, Ram Truck Brand. “Adding limited edition Ignition Orange and Black Sport models will give our buyers a custom appearance on an already eye-catching truck with all the capability our customers expect.”
SRT stands for ‘Street and Racing Technology’, an appropriate tag for the Challenger SRT Hellcat, since this new king of the muscle cars is equally at home on the road, track or 1/4-mile drag strip.
The 6.2-litre V8 that powers the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is based on the larger displacement 6.4-litre, 492 hp engine of the Challenger SRT 392.
But where the SRT 392’s motor is naturally-aspirated, the Hellcat’s bent-crank V8 dances to the beat of a twin-screw supercharger.

Chrysler’s E-body platform debuted in 1970 as a base for Plymouth’s latest Barracuda and Dodge’s all-new Challenger. Rolling on a longer wheelbase (110 inches, compared to 108), the Challenger appeared in hardtop and convertible forms with either six-cylinder or V8 power.
The word “restraint” is seldom associated with the muscle car era of the late ‘60s and early ‘70s, but it certainly applies to the owners of this astounding 1969 Dodge Hemi 4-speed Daytona, which has been driven an amazing 6,435 miles and is the lowest-mileage example known to exist with its original Hemi engine still intact. Of the 503 Daytonas built, only 70 were Hemi-powered, and only 20 combined that with a 4-speed manual transmission, making this example very special indeed.
Based on the new 2009 Dodge Challenger SRT-8, the Mr. Norm’s Super Challenger and Super Cuda draw inspiration from their race bred relatives, the original 1971 Mr. Norm’s Super Challenger Super Fuel Funny Car and the legendary 1970 Cuda. Since the Dodge Charger was such a sales success despite its midyear introduction, changes were limited for 1967. Outside, new fender-mounted turn signals were introduced and would serve as the main outside identifier between a 1966 and 1967 Charger. A vinyl roof became available as well. Inside, the full length console was gone, due in part to customer complaints about entry and exit from the back seats. It was replaced with a regular sized console.
