Long time Mustang man Steve Saleen is showing off official images of his new 2010 SMS 620 Camaro, the third and latest of the ultra-high performance automobiles produced by Steve Saleen’s company, SMS Supercars of Corona, CA.The SMS 620 Camaro definitely has a SMS DNA in its striking design.

Chief Creative Officer of SMS, Phil Frank notes, “We have incorporated our well-known functional SMS Red Butterfly Dual Side Induction Hood as well as our race-proven aerodynamics in this third vehicle in our SMS Signature Series. The SMS 620 Camaro is a dramatic and iconic visual statement that very clearly bears the SMS design DNA.”

The interior includes high performance gauges and all-new Alcantara and leather SMS performance seats that feature the patented Signature Series chevron stripes. SMS offers its “Tailor Made” options for the exterior, interior and engine compartment; highlighted by a dozen show car quality custom SMS exterior colors. This newest creation by Steve Saleen’s company is scheduled for a market launch in the second quarter of 2010.

DETROIT – Corvette Racing program manager Doug Fehan has seen it all in motorsports, and he had to rely on every element of that hard-earned experience to navigate through a tumultuous 2009 season. In the midst of a global economic storm, Fehan steered Corvette Racing to the team’s sixth win in the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the successful mid-year introduction of the GT2 version of the Corvette C6.R in the American Le Mans Series.

Corvette Racing’s 10th anniversary season was a year of transition. The championship-winning GT1 Compuware Corvettes secured a seventh win in the season-opening Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring on March 21, and made their farewell appearance in the ALMS in Long Beach, Calif., on April 18. The curtain fell on the GT1 era on June 13-14 with a GT1 victory in Le Mans, France, as Johnny O’Connell, Jan Magnussen and Antonio Garcia stood on the top step of the podium. Seven weeks later, two new-generation Corvette C6.Rs made their competition debut in the GT2 class at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

The Grand Sport version of the Corvette has received the Heritage Package for this year’s edition of the SEMA Convention. The track Corvette GS Heritage Package comes with wider wheels and tires and a special suspension tuning. the performance oriented Corvette GS Heritage Package can reach 60 mph in less than four seconds and manages to get 1.0 g on the skid pad.

The Corvette GS Heritage Package includes mesh inserts, ZR1-style front splitter and rear spoiler, rocker extensions and wheel spats and a Tech pattern engine cover with red lettering inserts. For the interior, the Corvette GS Heritage Package offers a red stitched shifter knob/boot and red parking brake boot, a PAL iPod connector and racing-style pedal covers.

Chevrolet is supplying the Indianapolis 500 with a 2010 Camaro SS as a pace car. Unveiled ahead of the 2010 event which is taking place at the Brickyard on May 30, the Inferno Orange metallic muscle car will mark the sixth time a Camaro has paced the 100 year-old 500 since its debut in 1967.

To maintain those warranties, you must order the ZL575 package through any Chevrolet dealer in the U.S. and Canada at the time you purchase a new Camaro SS. Orders outside the dealership network and installed by any outfit other than SLP carry a lesser warranty.

The 2010 Camaro is a reality. Combined retro styling and advanced technology this car is enough to redline the interest of visitor of the showroom floor.Anyone with a passion for high performance automobiles, however, could foresee that dedicated muscle car enthusiasts would want even more.  Jon Moss, who is the former director of GM’s specialty vehicles division and Chris Fesler of Fesler Built, a high end hot rod builder and parts manufacturer, teamed up so that they could take the 2010 Camaro to the next level.

Limited Edition Package is estimated to the price of $150,000  – 60 units per year. Each Limited Edition Package will feature an individual serial number from 1-60 and be personally signed by both Chris Fesler and Jon Moss! What’s more, each will include adjustable coil over suspension, front and rear sway bars, 6-piston Fesler branded race brake upgrade, GM LS-9 supercharged engine, Fesler branded stainless steel bi-modal exhaust system, color-matched engine block, 6-speed manual transmission, billet, carbon fiber or black reverse lights, stainless steel hood struts, stainless steel trunk struts, carbon fiber interior accents, color matched leather seating, suede headliner, carbon fiber pillar gauge kit, heat and sound barrier, a custom sound system plus Fesler-Moss badging.

The main features and accessories, which need attention are the new silver stripe package. The enormous 21″ wheels look fantastic with silver-painted spoke centers and a Victory Red stripe. The Summit White ground effects package, “Blade” rear spoiler, rear fender vent graphics and accessory front grille with body-color outer frame complete the exterior design.

Another tuned Camaro in the range is Dusk model. The main features are a lowered ride height, new 21″ wheels, the rear spoiler from an SS model and a custom ground effects package.
“This is a car with an international flair, bringing the Camaro to a place it hasn’t traditionally been,” said Parker. “It is a very tailored look that is stylish and sophisticated, but with a distinct American accent.”

The ground effects package consists of a racing-inspired front splitter, rocker extensions and a rear diffuser. The taillamp, fog lamp bezels and 21″ rims, which come from BBS complete the exterior of Camaro Dusk.
