DETROIT – The road-racing inspired Camaro 1LE performance package returns for 2013 with unique gearing, suspension tuning, and tires that makes the model capable of more than 1 g of lateral acceleration and a sub-three minute lap time at Virginia International Raceway’s Grand Course. NEW YORK – March 27, 2012 – Shelby American, Inc., a division of Carroll Shelby International (CSBI.PK), will introduce its most powerful Shelby yet on April 5, 2012, at the New York International Auto Show. Carroll Shelby and his team created the Shelby 1000 by starting with a 2012 Ford Shelby GT500 and kicking its handling, horsepower and braking to the performance edge.

In this article we will speak about this kind of V8-daredevil with 4.6 L engine capacity and 309 kW. In order to significantly improve the Optics of the advanced Retro-Design vehicle that belonged to the popular movie stars for a long time, we installed the Cervini-Bodykit for 8,000 Euro. We also installed a specially featured exhaust system which included side pipes at both ends to ensure the smooth operation of the hard bar. Moreover, this tomboy is equipped with KW-coilovers with electrically lifting axles and HLS (Hydraulic Lift System) Kit, which solved such well-known problems caused by its smaller ground clearance as emissions on the roadway, problem garage entry and covered parking entry and also problems with so-called speed-blocker. Chevrolet will build 69 COPO Camaros for 2012, the brand’s first purpose-built Camaro drag-racing specialty car designed to compete with the quickest in NHRA’s Stock Eliminator and Super Stock classes. National records for quarter-mile times in these contests are in the nine-second range.

As such, the COPO Camaros are expected to be the quickest Camaro ever offered by Chevrolet.

“The COPO Camaro is going to shake up the sportsman drag racing ranks this summer and give Chevy fans a great new reason to cheer on the Bowtie,” said Jim Campbell, GM U.S. vice president of Performance Vehicles & Motorsports. “COPO builds off the strengths that have made the Camaro the best-selling sports car in America.
