2011 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Carbon Limited Edition - Muscle Cars BlogLook at this perfect muscle car – the Z06 Carbon was created to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first appearance of the Corvette at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. It was the time when Briggs Cunningham and John Fitch won their class. The Carbon edition is actually a Vette Z06 with a ZR1 chassis with carbon skin. “The Aveo RS clearly demonstrates that we are ready to make a big step forward in the small-car segment. Coming to Europe in 2011, the new Aveo will be completely in tune with the striking new Cruze and Spark, our all-new compact and mini entries,” Brannon added.

There is no official information what the specifics of the European based muscle car will be, but some of the assumptions are about 3.6L V6 and 6.2L V8.

SpeedFactory driver Eddie Rosa piloted the Charger.

Auctioned Corvette Z06 Special Edition – For Haiti

Scottsdale, Ariz. – Earthquake relief efforts in Haiti will receive all proceeds from the auction of a limited edition 2008 Chevrolet Corvette at this weekend’s 39th annual Barrett-Jackson Collector Car Auction.

The proceeds, which will be donated to the American Red Cross relief fund, are in addition to a $100,000 contribution from the GM Foundation to the Red Cross.

“This is a very good example of the compassion GM employees have,” said Ed Welburn, Vice President of GM Design. Welburn will call the vehicle to the stage to start the bidding process at the event.
