New Airbag Design For 2015 Ford Mustang


2015 Ford Mustang will be equipped with a brand new airbag, which was designed for additional passenger safety by providing inflatable restraint protection in a smaller, lighter package. In addition, it also enables a roomier interior ant thus – more comfort. The new airbag will be introduced in the musclecar later this year and it will come as a standard. The safety system will also offer customers more robust package of sensors, safety belt anchor pretensioners, improved exterior lighting and double the total number of airbags.

In the first steps of developing this technology, the inflatable plastic bladder is integrated into the glove box door and provides front passenger knee protection. Other applications of this technology allow airbags to be placed in new locations inside the vehicle are in current development.

2015 Ford Mustang Is Official MIS Pace Car


Ford has just announced that its 2015 Mustang is going to be official pace car for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). The racing will take place on Sunday, 15th of June. The participation of the car is continuation of the ongoing tribute that Ford makes to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic pony car. This is the first time that a Mustang GT fastback is appointed as a pace car at MIS. Ford Motor Company president of The Americas, Joe Hinrichs, will be the person who will drive the car and will race the Red fastback around the track in Brooklyn.

Just like the GT version, the pace car is also equipped with 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine. This means that it is perfect for its new job. The powertrain generates more than 420 horsepower (310 kW) and 529 Nm (390 lb.-ft.) of torque. The production version of the fastback is going to hit the showrooms later this year when it will offer two other engines – the 3.7-liter V6 and 2.3-liter EcoBoost.

However, more than 9,300 Europeans registered for a chance to buy one of 500 new Ford Mustangs available to order for the first time in the Old Continent during the UEFA Champions League Final. The interest was so high that the first 500 registrations came just 30 seconds into the match between Real Madrid CF and Club Atlético de Madrid. Those who are lucky to buy the new model will be notified in the forthcoming weeks.

The 500 new Mustangs will go across 20 countries. Ford will in the next few weeks contact the customers from each of these countries who were quickest to place their reservation. Each customer will then be invited to complete their order at a dealership later this year.

Ford Mustang Gets Fine Art Treatment


Ford Mustang is celebrating 50 years since it was introduced. To commemorate this special anniversary the artist Robin Bark has created a limited-edition 1965 Ford Mustang fastback sculpture. He has captured the essence of the original Mustang in a handcrafted piece that evokes power and motion. Only 500 individual works will be produced. Each of them is made of solid aluminum cast, then polished, numbered and of course – signed by the artist.

Robin Bark is experienced in industrial design, graphic design ceramics and metalwork. But his love of muscle vehicles is what created this beautiful sculpture. As a matter of fact, by far he has developed a series of cast-aluminum sculptures of classic motorbikes and sports cars.
