2015 Mustang To Include Ford SYNC 911 Assist

2015 Ford Mustang range is going to include the new Ford SYNC 911 Assist. The features are debuting on the car and will offer emergency dispatchers. 911 Assist uses a mobile phone connected to SYNC to call 911 directly when needed. The system will provide even more detail about a crash to aid in the dispatch of the appropriate resources. To make an instance, if the dispatcher knows that both front safety belts were fastened at the time of a high-speed collision, he or she may decide to send an additional ambulance directly to the scene. This is because, safety belt monitoring varies based on the airbag systems in the vehicle.

Furthermore, the 911 Assist need customer’s consent to enable the feature when pairing a cell-phone to SYNC in the beginning. The customer has the option to cancel the call before it is placed. In the event of an airbag deployment or fuel shutoff, there is a direct 911 call. Then, the operator receives a brief and prerecorded message that a Ford vehicle has been in a crash and has the option to retrieve vehicle GPS information.

2015 Ford Mustang Is Official MIS Pace Car

Ford has just announced that its 2015 Mustang is going to be official pace car for the Quicken Loans 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Michigan International Speedway (MIS). The racing will take place on Sunday, 15th of June. The participation of the car is continuation of the ongoing tribute that Ford makes to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the iconic pony car. This is the first time that a Mustang GT fastback is appointed as a pace car at MIS. Ford Motor Company president of The Americas, Joe Hinrichs, will be the person who will drive the car and will race the Red fastback around the track in Brooklyn.

Just like the GT version, the pace car is also equipped with 5.0-liter Ti-VCT V8 engine. This means that it is perfect for its new job. The powertrain generates more than 420 horsepower (310 kW) and 529 Nm (390 lb.-ft.) of torque. The production version of the fastback is going to hit the showrooms later this year when it will offer two other engines – the 3.7-liter V6 and 2.3-liter EcoBoost.
