One-Off 2015 Ford Mustang Convertible To Support MS Society

Posted on 9 May, 2014

2015 Ford Mustang 50 Years Convertible not only comes to commemorate the fifty years anniversary of the iconic model, but also will support the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. How: only one example of the car will ever be produced and then subjected to raffle. The proceeds will support multiple sclerosis research. What is more, this is the single Mustang GT convertible that is going to be built with a performance pack and select content from the 50 Year Limited Edition fastback.

This unique Mustang is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 engine. The unit generates more than 420 horsepower (309 kW) and 529 Nm (390 lb.-ft.) of torque. It is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission. Another interesting fact is that this convertible will also be the single one to include a special performance pack. The latter includes 19-inch Pirelli P-Zero summer tires, Brembo six-piston painted front brake calipers and a limited-slip differential.

Furthermore, this muscle car features a number of one-of-a-kind elements that distinguish it from other 2015 Mustangs. Some of them include Wimbledon White exterior paint finish, chrome-accented grille with corralled pony emblem, chrome accents around the tri-bar taillamp lenses, axle spin-finish aluminum instrument panel trim and rear decklid badge with “GT 50 Years” identification.

In addition, inside this Ford is also equipped with a two-tone cashmere and black leather seats, contrasting cashmere stitching on instrument panel, steering wheel, shift boot, door inserts and seats, loop-carpet floor mats with cashmere stitching and suede binding. The car will run on 19-inch Y-spoke wheels inspired by the chrome steel wheels offered on original Mustang.

At last, to show how special this car is, the company will add a special badge on the instrument panel. It will be engraved with the signature of Ford Executive Chairman Bill Ford as well as the serial number 0001 of 0001.
