2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country Goes On Sale

2015 Chevrolet Silverado High Country goes on sale this summer offering comfort and capability, well-appointed interior and advanced technologies. The vehicle is Chevrolet’s first premium heavy-duty pickup that offers the refinement and convenience of the Silverado 1500 High Country and the rugged capability of the Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD pickups.

Some of the highlights in the exterior include chrome grille with horizontal bars, body-color front bumper and CornerStep rear bumper. All models feature 6-inch tubular chrome assist steps, High Country badges on the doors and tailgate and High Country logos on the door sill plates. The Silverado 2500HD High Country models run on 20-inch chrome wheels, while 3500HD – on 18-inch chrome or 17-inch forged polished aluminum wheels.

The interior of the model, features an saddle brown design scheme, heated and cooled perforated premium leather front bucket seats with High Country logos on the headrests, Chevrolet MyLink connectivity with an 8-inch touch screen, Bose premium audio and front and rear park assist. These features come as a standard.

As an option, Chevrolet offers sunroof, navigation system and a rear-seat entertainment system with a BluRay/DVD player. The available High Country Premium Package boasts additionally heated steering wheel, driver alert package and power adjustable pedals.

New trailering mirrors are also available. The chrome-capped mirrors manually extend for wider trailers and include power adjust with memory and power fold. They also feature heat and turn signals in the glass, auxiliary clearance lamps and auxiliary cargo lamps.

High Country comes in 2500HD and 3500HD crew cab models in two- and four-wheel-drive. The 3500HD High Country can also be ordered in single- or dual-rear wheel models. They have maximum tow ratings of up to 22,900 pounds.

Furthermore, Chevrolet offers a choice of three powertrains options: 6.0L V-8 engine, rated at 360 horsepower (265 kW) and 515 Nm (380 lb-ft) of torque; a bi-fuel version of the 6.0L V-8 unit that seamlessly switches from gasoline to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG); and the 6.6L Duramax turbodiesel powerplant teamed with the Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission and rated at 397 horsepower (292 kW) and 1037 Nm (765 lb-ft) of torque.
