2014 Cadillac ELR Gets Home Charging Station

The electrified and luxury Cadillac ELR electrified luxury coupe which was officially unveiled to the general public in the Summer months of last year and since then it has made a great furor among the electric vehicle fans, first of all because of its eco-friendliness, and secondly because it is a true muscle car.

Now, Cadillac has prepared for the early buyers of the vehicle a complementary 240-volt home charging station. If they purchase the car they will also get professional installation of the fastest home-charging unit. In fact, the exclusive ELR is a combination of new technology and extreme design, and also offers fun-to-drive experience.

2014 ELR is equipped with a range-extended electric powertrain that includes EREV technology. It is capable of covering 340 miles (545 km) of total range on via pure electric driving and range-extending generator.

Furthermore, the brand has also announced that it will offer online programmable charging schedules and energy efficiency reports. This will be also possible to manage via smartphone notification charging alerts.

Another new highlight is that there will be included advanced chassis and suspension systems, featuring HiPer Strut front suspension, compound-crank with Watts link rear suspension and Continuous Damping Control. 2014 Cadillac ELR also comes as a standard with Cadillac Shield. The latter is fitted with Vehicle Diagnostics, Premium Care Maintenance program and 24/7 roadside assistance.
